Post Work on Linux Using Bootable CD ??

Hi ,

I am using a laptop with windows XP as the operating system. i want to use linux/unix without installing it on my machine.

I heard that i can do so using some Linux bootable CD .... which can be used to work on linux environment with out physically installing it on your system.

I am not aware how to get details on the same. Can Some one help me out by providing the necessary details so that i can also learn and Practice shell scripting ...

Thanks in Advance

Linux Bootable CD's

There are many live distributions that you can use. There simple to use just put them into your CD_ROM drive and boot your computer. They are also great for browsing online as nothing is stored on your computer. Good luck with your shell scripting

Here are a few.
