Windows and Unix

I have Windows XP with a 80 GB hard drive, I want to install Unix and this will be my first ever having two operating systems on one hard drive. I have never done this before and need any advice. I have done partitioning, just need to know how much to put for windows and the other for Unix. the reason why I am doing this is because I only have one computer, and I will be taking game programming and need to install Unix. Any suggestions would be helpful.

It all depends on what you wanna do on the UNIX,if you just wanna learn something about UNIX,I think several GB will satisfy you properly.
