Need help pls
Hi, I'm a newbie.
I need help on my first assignment in UNIX. 1. How do I determine the number of non-empty directories? I was told to create a variable ARCHIVE, which points to the directory that contains the archive of the messages. But I'm so dumb and I don't even know how to do this. 2. In those non-empty directories, there are email messages. And I have to find out all the names who send the email. I just know that I have to use uniq after all of the names are sorted. 3. I have to find out how many messages each person sends. I've been spending a lot of time doing this. I asked my prof and my friends. However, It seems that I'm always stuck all the time. Thank you so much for the reply and help. |
