What's the problem with the command of mkdir
The message is:
#mkdir /home/ade
mkdir:Failed to make directory "/home/ade",Operation not applicable.

What's the problem?

cant make dir as root

Either permission to create a DIR under home are not permitted or the DIR you mentioned is already exiting under home.
