FTP Access

How to restrict ftp user to move to the parent directory of his home directory.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

You can chroot the account, however a more flexible and user-friendly way to do it is to use an ftp server with the facility built in, for example ProFTP.

It certainly helps to know exactly what flavour of ftp server you're using...
