ipconfig?

Hi guys, I need help on ipconfig issue. Recently I've installed RedHat 7.0 on my system. However, when I typed ipconfig command on my root directory, it can't work. Please advise & forgive my ignorance. Thanks!

ipconfig works under Windows (DOS), ifconfig works in UNIX.

Thanks 98_1LE! However, does it mean that i can execute any command found in /bin & /sbin. Cos I can't execute linuxconf or shutdown command regardless of my ststus in root.
