Please send your question to GCC directly at gcc@gcc.gnu.org and let them know you need HTTP access. As far as I know, the official mirror sites are all FTP sites.

Let us know what GCC says.

Post GCC via http

For some time i looked for a GCC-download via http.
It was not possible for me to download it cause i was behind a firewall.

I wrote in much forums and at least i wrote a letter to GNU for help. Here is what they wrote:

"
It is also possible to get the source through CVS: see
http://gcc.gnu.org/cvs.html. Otherwise, you could order it on a CD:
see http://www.gnu.org/order/. It would be a good idea to offer http
downloads, and I'm not sure why we don't. I'll look in to it.
"

Regards
Cy

Thanks for getting back to us. BTW:

Did you get the copy of GCC that you needed? Did you order the CD? Or did you get it anyother way?

Actually i did not get a copy of this. But i do not need it to this time of my education.
I may order it or so when i really need it. So i can use the latest version of the software.
