Question How do I create & Maintain directories

I need to either create or use a current directory to provide a path for a windows file, how do I do that?

Sorry Colin, I'm using Sco Unix V and what I'm trying to do is create new directories in Unix to provide a path for a text file to come out of a Pick database and go to a folder on a PC's hard drive.

sounds like you need to create the dir. and either use ftp or samba to move it to the windows machine. this get or push funtion would be set up via cron.

man mkdir <---- manual page on createing directorys
man crontab <---- manual page on setting up automated jobs
