Building a new PC
Hi, im building a new PC for my FreeBSD - sorry it's not really UNIX related but I dont really visit any other online forums, and lost ideas of people to ask,
Basically would it work if bought this motherboard - http://dabs.com/uk/channels/componen...quicklinx=37ZZ which has Serial ATA150 and ATA133 controllers. I will be using a Serial ATA150 HD and a IDE DVDRW? It says Max Installed Contollers - 1, does this mean the DVDRW has to be SATA150 also for it to work? Im little confused as to where IDE fits into the pattern, and if DVDRW doesnt need to be SATA, does this mean I could also use an old ATA133 HD with the new SATA150 im getting and the IDE DVDRW? Sorry if this is not allowed in this forum to ask this, if so please could you throw me in the right direction, Thanks for any help. |
