SUN BLADE T6340 - which OS ?
Hi,
I have server SUN BLADE T6340 and i tried install debian sparc on this machine. Will it work ? In the specification is written only Solaris 10. |

This server supports both Solaris 10 and Solaris 11.
debian doesn't list it as a supported hardware so I doubt it will boot on it reliably (if at all). OpenBSD is mentioning this server in its sparc64 page. |

I boot debian sparc and install it but he did not work.
He stopped on initramfs prompt. In that case, I'll have to take time to learn Solaris ...  ---------- Post updated at 06:14 PM ---------- Previous update was at 02:04 PM ---------- Debian -- SPARC Port Here is the information that supports the arch debian sparc64 Can someone tried to install debian on this or similar machine ? |

What exactly do you want to do with that machine? Maybe it is fairly easy to accomplish with Solaris.

I have access to 3 of these machines and they wanted to test the performance of hpl.
I did it on Debian and Solaris still do not know enough. |
