How to run additional shells
Hi, unix newbi here.
Im currently on the bash shell, what are the commands to run additional shells? for example i want to run csh and then ksh? Thanks. BT. |

hmm, not sure what exactly you want.
Issue "ksh" to run the Korn shell, issue "csh" to run the C-shell. Both exit with the "exit" command. I thought this was obvious. Of course, both these shells have to be installed on oyur system before you can run them. If you get some error like "command not found" trying one of the commands above, chances are they are not. Get your system administrator to install them then. I hope this helps. bakunin |
