It sounds as though you (or someone else) updated your PATH. Have a look in your home directory at your .profile (assuming you are using Korn shell). Check to see that your PATH includes your home directory (or whatever the path is to where your shell is located). If you make any updates to your path, be sure to source your profile. Exampe: From your home directory ./.profile
