maximum number of input on solaris - UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

Hi,
Can anyone tell me what the maximum amount of input characters is on solaris command line? (standard ksh I think)

should be 256 characters in a row, but you can increase the command lenght with the "\" do begin a new line within the same command
