Absolute n00b questions about Unix / Linux

Hi All,
I have absolutely no experince with either one, and would LOVE to start from somewhere! So please guide me to some web sites (beside these great forums of course!) that I can obtain n00b information. (Books, links, resources, etc.)

What software OS? should I begin with? I have heard good things about Fedora.

Thanks!

I have HP-UX 11i at work and have REDHAT 9.0 at home. I think RED HAT is a very good start but many other LINUX are great too...I guess my choice was made after talking with friends who does have REDHAT at home. I also like KNOPPIX because you can bring the cd with you anywhere (bootable).
