Unhappy monitor hertz

I just got done installing freeBSD. I'm running the KDE desktop and my frequency is too low on my monitor. How do you change this? Very new to UNIX!

Run XF86Setup or Xconfigurator. Select custom form monitor list and give the correct value. Don't forget to backup existing Config file.
