hello,
i have a problem installing a d-link dwl-510 wireless network card on freebsd 4.8 first, i already successfully installed a dwl- 500 (which is a pcmcia card in a pci card) by adding just a few simple lines to my /etc/rc.conf pccard_enable="YES" pccard_mem="DEFAULT" pccard_ifconfig="inet 192.168.5.6 netmask 255.255.255.0 ssid myssid" pccard_beep="2" this works superb for the dwl-500 but not for the dwl-510 which is a pci card with an antenna on it when i boot i get message: pccardc not configured and indeed, the light on the network card doesn't not blink, stays mute when i do #ifconfig -a i don't see Wi0 when i do dmesg /dev/* i can see on pci0 <unknown card> (vendor=0x1186, dev=0x3300) at 14.0 irq 5 could anyone give me the golden tip to be able to enable this card? thnx! |
