corrupted tar file

Hi all,
I've got a corrupted tar file with some filename being like ?a=n is it possible to get them repaired?

Not that I know of. If you find a utility that fixes corruped tar files, please let us know..... I've been looking for years and never heard or found one. The same for gzip too!!
