If you have 70 bucks to spare, go ahead and pay them, to help support their continued involvement. If not, accept their gift, and learn from online docs -- just make sure to give back to the community if you can, be it in the form of helping someone else, contributing to development teams (not only programming, but lots of people are needing for beta testing of new software!), or just lending your disks to a friend...
