I'm confused... what does Knoppix have to do with the orignal posters question to run on Windows......???

We seem to have two good threads on this subject. If I merge the threads, they would comingle and we would lose the continuity. So in each thread I will post a cross link to the other.

Nothing, now that I think about it. I assumed that poster wanted to run unix and still have windows on the computer. I guess that what I get for assuming. My bad! Still I was only trying to be helpful.
