Angry nvidia drviers

hi guys i tryed to in stall nvidia driver the other day then i got no kernel found i installed the latest kernal for the drivers rpm based from ftp.nvidia.com and downloaded the pkg 1,2 and the src and the reg bin rpm
installed it and droped out of X and init 3 and went to the cmd line and installed the pkg.run and sayed on kernal found and said that will remove the rpm and will not let me do any thing eles i'm falling the readme

A. SuSE Linux 9.0
-----------------

1) Kernel sources must be installed and configured. Usually this means
installing the 'kernel-source' package with YaST2.

2) Use the nvidia installer.

sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4496-pkg2.run

3) Save the binary-part of nvidia kernel module, so the nvidia kernel
module can be re-linked during a kernel update and therefore the
nvidia driver installation will survive a future kernel update as
well.

sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4496-pkg2.run --extract-only
cp NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4496-pkg2/usr/src/nv/nv-kernel.o \
/lib/modules/scripts/nvidia/nv-kernel.o-1.0-4496

4) Enable 3D support with SaX2.
--------------------------------------------------

i did all this and will not let me finish the install give me errors any help please this cmd give me error NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4496-pkg2.run --extract-only command not found !
here is the url... http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/L...-4496-pkg2.run

i dont know whats changed in suse 9.0, but i believe that the nvidia drivers are installed as a separate package. in the initial install you should search for 'nvidia' in yast's package manager and install the nvidia drivers package.
