Help Regarding a directory!

Hello Frens,

Need your favour at the earliest!

I have a directory at for example..


Code:
 /data/abc/xyz

I want to show the directory xyz in
Code:
 /home/deepak

but its actual path is the one which i shown in the first code...

if i copy some files to
Code:
 /home/deepak/xyz

it should go to


Code:
 /data/abc/xyz

.. that means it should not take any memory of
Code:
 /home/deepak

please help me how can i do this....

Sounds like you are looking for a symbolic link:

Code:
ln -s /data/abc/xyz /home/deepak

Assuming /data/abc/xyz is a directory and you want /home/deepak/xyz to point to that directory:

ln -s /data/abc/xyz /home/deepak/xyz
