"Is" command

i can't use the "Is" command at my linux distribution(linux knoppel live cd)."Is" is only for unix or i don't type the command????????

Do you mean "ls" ?

thats an L not an I. remember unix is case sensitive, you enter the ls command in all lower case letters.
