You need to burn the disc1 iso file to CD. On the CD there will be an "images" directory. Since it does not appear you have linux already running, you will need to use 'rawrite' to write the image to a floppy. The image is a floppy image, it's not a boot file so you can't just copy it to the floppy, you have to reimage the floppy so to speak.

Hi,
I managed to boot the system with the bootimg rawritten on the floppy. further i am prompted for the iso file I have it on the hard disk, so i select that option. my hard disks c:, d:, e: and f: are represented as /dev/hda1, /dev/hda5 thru 7. I have the shrike-i386-disc1.iso file on d: So I select the /dev/hda5 device but i get a error saying that the iso image cannot be found. I am stuck with the linux installation here Can some one guide me form here onwards Regards P.S. My D drive is FAT32 formatted (windows XP) |
