We have app. 20.000 UNIX boxes running mainly Solaris 2.4. Among other things we produce product documentation and have previously used Island Draw to produce images and such. Where do I find objective reviews of similar software packages, have any1 of you done any evaluation?
I´ve searched this forum but didnt find an answer TIA /Fredrik |

Is The Gimp not an option? In the new releases of Solaris it's in the package.

Thanks for replying
Gimp is more of an photo retouch editor, aka Photoshop on the PC. We are looking for something similar to Micrografx Designer, Corel Draw for vector images. There MUST be something better than Island Draw...! TIA again /Fredrik |

I've got a couple of links for vector based graphics apps you might want to try out.
http://www.lysator.liu.se/~alla/dia/dia.html http://bourbon.cs.umd.edu:8001/tgif/ You might also like to try the portalux website, as they have links for various vector based apps: http://www.portalux.com/applications/graphics/vector/ Andy Hibbins |
