Openserver 5.07 & APC UPS via USB

I have the latest version of SCO Openserver 5.0.7. I'm trying to install a APC Uninerrupted Power Supply 750EX using the USB port. During the installation it was asking for a port to connect the APC into. The only choices are either tty1a, tty2a, or other. I chose other but it start asking me to manually specify a serial port to attach it to. H...E...L...P...!!!!

What is the software and version you are using? (I didn't want to assume it's Powerchute Plus - could be one of the other powerchute versions)

Also, what is the model number from the back of the ups? APC site didn't have any 750 EX models from what I saw.

The free powerchute version does not support a usb port - I don't know about the other (since I'm not about to buy it just to find out)

Quote:
From the free download installation guide
PowerChute plus requires the following:

- An available RS-232 serial port dedicated to the UPS.

- One of the following UPSs manufactured by American Power
Conversion:

Matrix-UPS
Smart-UPS
Back-UPS
Back-UPS Pro, models 280, 420 and 650 (On SCO OpenServer 5,
Back-UPS Pro is supported in simple-signaling mode only.)
Symmetra Power Array
Smart-UPS DP
PowerStack

Only users of a smart-signaling UPSs (any supported model except
Back-UPS) who are also using the smart-signaling cable (940-0024C
or, for Symmetra Power Array and Smart-UPS 2U Rack Mount models,
940-1524C) are able to access the full functionality of PowerChute
plus.

- One of the following operating system versions:

1. SCO UnixWare, version 7.0, 7.0.1, or 7.1.
2. SCO OpenServer 5, version 5.0.5

PowerChute plus supports, but does not require, a mouse.
