grep problem

Hi all,
I get this this error message

grep: illegal option -- q
Usage: grep -hblcnsvim pattern file

when I execute this command

rsh <host ip> " ps -ef | grep '26' "

&

Are you using double quotes(") around the grep?
like:
$"ps -ef | grep '26' "

remove double quotes(")

=> its a wrong syntax and i believe this is not ur problem??
