I can wholeheartedly recommend cygwin

We use a bunch of Windoze 2000 machines at work (and an HP-UX 10 machine) and I install cygwin on anything that boots.

If I could count the amount of times that "find" has got me out of a hole that Windows crappy "search" function has failed to sort out.........
