X.Org and XFree86

X.Org just released a new version of their X (X11R6.7). Besides Liscense stuff, what is better about X.org then XFree? What is better about XFree then X.org?

Also: Will my fglrx (ATI) or nvidia drivers (designed for XFree86 4.3) work on X.org?

i would have to agree; i think is is more of a Unix Destop for dummies thread.

but other then that.

you will have to read the change logs and find out which is more feature packed and offers a better advantage for your environment.

This is not a forum to debate one product over another.
as far as compatability with your hardware you should check out their faq and list of acceptable hardware. if they dont list it you can always contact the authors.
