Modem Setup
Hi: I am trying to setup a modem in Solaris 8. I got connected and the following messages comes on screen.
CONNECT 9600 Press ENTER key to clear line and begin login. Press ENTER key to clear line and begin login. Enter Password -> Enter Password -> Enter Password -> I tried root passwd but it keep asking the last line. Any help..... |

Are you going back the original Solaris 8 system or another one?
I seem to remember a server once that did this but it wasn't a SUN system. The only thing I could find on Sunsolve was setting up a dialup password where the following would show up on login to the port: Login: root Password: Dialup password: # |
