PANIC Error

Hi

I have a compaq server and the raid controller has crashed it was a Smart Array 3200 and was replaced with a Samrt Array 5300.
The problem I have is that it gets to a certain point in booting and comes up with a error message PANIC - error 19 error loading root dev. I am using sco openserver 5.0.6. Please can someone help me. I don't want to loose the data on the server

Do you have the correct drivers for the 5300 array controller?
I dont think you can use the 3200 driver for a 5300 controller

I have no experince with sco unix. I have some NT machines (burp) running with 3200 and 5300 controllers and they don't boot
if you replace a 3200 with a 5300 without changing drivers..

Maybe the same in SCO?

everything from the first smart up to 3200 works great with the same driver but not the 5300 series..

Just a thought..
