Anyone can help me in the installation of Veritas 3.32 on Solaris 8.
Here is what I am getting on console

Installing VxVM for Solaris 8

If you haven't done so already, I would get the patch and install it.

Then try to reinstall the Veritas package and see if it works (even with the other error from awk).

The awk error is documented in SunSolve on a install of SUNWutkio but the install was still successful - which is why your real problem may only be the patch you need to have before the install)

Yeah, I have installed patch 110722-03 successfully before the installation of Veritas.

Any other suggestions.

I got the solution.

It was a 'awk' problem.
Solution is like this

cd /usr/bin
mv awk awrk.orig
ln -s nawk awk

Note: awk cannot handle beyond 200 records.
