Which versions of Solaris? Solaris 10 will come with ssh installed so sftp should be available by default. If you are using Solaris 8, you will have to install ssh and I'm not sure about Solaris 9. About Windows, you can install the Putty ssh client. It comes with a sftp command called psftp.
-Edit The psftp/putty executables can just be kept in a user's home directory as well (in case admin privileges are not available). |
