Help needed to test CorneliOS open source software on different platforms
Hello everyone,
I' m currently working on an open source project and I'm looking for people willing to test the software on various platforms so that we'll be able to publish a compatibility list. The project is called CorneliOS, it's a webOS and web application framework, and it has been successfully tested on Linux (Debian, x86) and MacOS X (Tiger, PPC). It requires the Apache webserver and a Perl interpreter, MySQL is optional. The installation process is quite simple, and we would really appreciate if some of you could test if it installs and runs on other systems too (well, it should, but I want to be sure before putting some compatibility list online). We're especially looking for the following test installations, other suggestions and tests are welcome: - Linux (Debian, Red Hat, Suse or whatever) on different hardware (Intel, AMD, PPC or any other) - MacOS X Tiger on Intel - MacOS X Leopard on PPC or Intel - *NIX: Solaris, AIX, IRIX, etc. Of course you don't have to test them ALL, just give us the results for the systems you have access to. For the moment we don't require to run any test suites, just see it you can log into the system and logout correctly afterwards - it that works, everything else should work too. Download the software from http://www.cornelios.org (select the GPL version) and send us your results to info@cornelios.org or post them here, (please mention the OS and the architecture you used - well, it wouldn't make much sense without that; and maybe a `uname -a` output too). Of course you will get CREDITS (hurray!), we'll publish a compatibility list within the next few weeks which will feature the names of those who tested CorneliOS (tell us if you DO NOT your name to be published). Okay, thanks a lot in advance for your interest and support, Can't wait to hear from our first testers ;-) Jos Kirps http://www.cornelios.org |
