Printing Problem - Solaris 8
Please Help!!!!!!
I just installed a new network printer - myprinter1. I can't seem to get it running. Every time I try to print a test page, I get the following error. Subject: Problem with printer myprinter1 The printer myprinter1 has stopped printing for the reason given below. Fix the problem and bring the printer back on line. Printing has stopped, but will be restarted in a few minutes; issue an enable command if you want to restart sooner. Unless someone issues a change request lp -i myprinter1-19 -P ... to change the page list to print, the current request will be reprinted from the beginning. The reason(s) it stopped (multiple reasons indicate repeated attempts): exec exit fault<EOT> ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I first installed myprinter1, then my printer2, I took out myprinter2, but I'm still getting error re: myprinter2 & myprinter1 is not running as well ...I get the above error message. How do I get myprinter1 to start working & How do I get myprinter2 cleanout of the system I removed it from printers.conf file, I disable it but i still get error message re: myprinters. Thanks, Remi # lpstat -t scheduler is running no system default destination device for myprinter1: /dev/null system for myprinter2: myhostname character set myprinter1 accepting requests since Tue 16 Jan 2007 03:18:45 PM EST myprinter2 accepting requests since Jan 21 20:46 2007 printer myprinter1 waiting for auto-retry. available. exec exit fault printer myprinter2 unknown state. enabled since Jan 21 20:46 2007. available. myprinter2: not a printer or class myprinter1-19 root 242 Jan 18 18:24 filtered # |
