Angry I lost my password root

Hello ...
I lost my password root !
maybe someone can to help me to log in HP_UX,
i started the server in " Singel - User" and i changed my
password to new password and it`s not working ..
what i must to do ???

are you using also the shadow file ? Did you also change it ?

Thank you for your answer ...
I think that i fond my problem , it`s was /etc/securetty
the tty and the console was not declared

Looking at my boxes, the only thing that should be in /etc/securtty on HPUX is the single word "console" and nothing else.

now it`s working, i declared only the concole and it`s OK.
