Uh, I just googled this thread and wanted to contribute, I hope it's not considered necroing, since the last reply was quite some time ago, and I'm not even using any SuSE.. Smilie

This is my Lemote YeeLoong 8089B that I bought in China. I had the chance to even talk to some people who worked on the chinese Loongson-2f processor design at the University of Technology in Beijing (that's the CPU in the YeeLoong), it's running Debian Wheezy/sid modified to work on the Loongson's slighty changed MIPSEL arch with PMON2000 firmware:

IBM Linux on System z guest

I realize I'm very late to this party but thought you all may like to see what a /proc/cpuinfo looks like from a virtualized Linux guest running on an IBM System z EC12 mainframe!

CPU & Memory BSD

Wow, a zSeries. I have only seen one such mainframe myself briefly when I was allowed to visit one of the three high security server centers of the Banks of my country (they are located in our capital and serve the whole infrastructure of the country, all national banks included).

I was impressed by the looks of the zSeries mainframe alone! Smilie

And now on topic, this is cat /compat/linux/proc/cpuinfo, and shows what linux.ko, the kernel driver of FreeBSDs Linux compatibility layer lets through to the linprocfs subsystem (this is actually PC-BSD 9.2 UNIX, but it's using FreeBSDs kernel):

As you can see, the bogomips is just trash, as they're not computed on bootup. So they just copy the clock rate and use that number. Smilie Plus, some other information is obviously missing, like cache alignment, address spaces etc.
