thanks gnom, i was able to go in as a single user. i tried using th e format command as format>partition
partiton> 1 (which is the root slice) and i was able to change the slice size to 15gb but still will not be able to go in to the sun operating system |

i had this problem due to lack of size initially. so i thought what i needed to do was to had more space to my slice 0 (root). i did not refomat i only added space from 4gb to 15.0 gb using the partition command. it did not give any error it just keep rebooting. One thing that i knew i did was taht i installed a patch and then restarted the system. This made my root filesystem got full or may be the prob might have come from the patch
