NISuser home directory movement in Solaris

How to move home directory of NIS user from one system to another system in Solaris.

IMHO home directories are mounted from a nfs server via automounter. so it should be sufficent to change to the users homedir to get it mounted.
copy hoomers home as root to targetsystem using bash shell:
Quote:
cd ~hoomer # should mount hoomers home directory
cd .. # should lead you to /home
tar cvf - hoomer | ssh targetsystem (cd /home ; tar xf -) # copy the complete directory to target
