Greetings...
I am VERY new to unix and I have a application (ASG Cypress) that we need to monitor with Tivoli Omnibus using the probe mttrapd. The issue is port 161. I was told that you can use snmpdx to master over the port and then redirect incoming traps to their rspected probes. I have no clue how to do this. I have been looking for a good tutorial or any other good information on step by step setup of snmpdx. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Please remeber, VERY new to all of it. ![]() Thanks! ![]() |

I admit I don't know anything about SNMP but I know some people in our company use it to monitor various things.
I'm not sure this is helpful, but have you looked at: - man snmpd - Solaris System Management Agent Administration Guide |

I will most likely get in trouble for posting this too but thank you for the info Vimes. I found a user group a bit more on the "nice" and "willing to help" side of things.
Again thank you. |
