solaris installation

I have installed solaris 10 then followed by linux. The problem is I could not boot solaris as in the menu solaris is not shown. I modified grub.conf but it showed and arror: invalid device number

On which system did you install? Whats the release you used. Pls post all relevant details.

I installed in IBM lenovo thinkcentre. Solaris version is 10 and centOS version is 2.6.9.34.

You need to chainload Solaris grub from Linux one. Linux grub can't directly boot Solaris.

Thank u.Now my problem is NIC is not detected in solaris.In linux its working fine. It is Broadcom make. I tried some drivers from broadcom site itself for solaris but they didnot work. They told use '# prtconf' and NIC card is not listed and could not find its instance number. Mine is IBM lenovo thinkcentre PC with NIC onboard. Any solution?

give output of the following commands:

kstat -p |grep net
prtdiag -v

and provide make/model of system.
