solaris 5.11 is solaris nevada. the development edition. this is not a released version of solaris, so there are NO patches. if you need a bugfix, you've to download the newest version of nevada and upgrade your older version...
for a productive environment you should better use solaris 10. smpatch IS working on this release. And if the environment is critical you better also go for an service account! |

A slight qualification on the previous post.
The OpenSolaris distribution is a released product based on the SunOS 5.11 Kernel, however I do not know if there have been any patches released for it. To check you would need to enable the IPS repository on pkg.opensolaris.org and check for updates. |
