formatting hard drive (scrubbing)
I'm in the process of scrubbing a tonne of hard drives. Having a few problems with my formatting.
I've been following http://www.sun.com/blueprints/0600/scrub.pdf however on the steps of Code:
#format> format Ready to format. Formatting cannot be interrupted and takes 100 minutes (estimated). Continue? y Beginning format. The current date is Thu June 12 10:11:34 2008 98% complete (00:00:24 remaining) done verifying media... pass 0 - pattern = 0xc6dec6de 13 / 4 / 122 illegal instruction - core dumped has my disk been formatted/scrubbed I need to do "low-level" format on all my drives so i can give them out to externals. Also this is manually done, no script is used Thanks |
