can't email my own domain

I am not able to send email only to my own domain with sendmail. I am having trouble determining if the problem is name resolution on the box in question, or if the email is getting stopped at the mail relay/spam appliance.

I would appreciate any insights into this problem.

Could it be the NAT at the firewall? I can get to the mail server on port 80.

Here are the details.

# /usr/lib/sendmail -d0.1 -bt < /dev/null
Version 8.13.8+Sun
Compiled with: DNSMAP LDAPMAP LOG MAP_REGEX MATCHGECOS MILTER MIME7TO8
