Telnet to ur system and log as root, execute the following command
# /usr/platform/SUNW,Sun-Fire-880/rsc/rscadm show or # ~. it will take you to rsc> rsc>shownetwork ---> to see ur rsc ip |

command was mentioned before... and "~." only works on console and the ip for console session is NOT known...

Hi,
You must have set the following OBP parameters after you configured the RSC initially. ok setenv diag-out-console true ok setenv input-device rsc-console ok setenv output-device rsc-console Now you will not be able to get the console on serial. There are two options now. 1.The RSC card can be pulled from the machine in order to temporarily reset the output to the TTYA port. Once the OBP has been started, the parameters will need to be reset (ok>set-defaults , 0k>reset-all). Now you will be able to get the console on serial. Reinsert the RSC card and reconfigure it. 2.If you remember the network card ip address and if it is configured(not the RSC card) Power on the server using the power on key present on front pannel. Telnet to the NIC (I think network card is hme0 , I am not sure) Telnet to the network card (hme0) and follw the steps which I mentioned in my previous post. Let me know if you have any queries. |
