Enabling X-windows login

OS : Solaris 10

How do we enable CDE login for root user via X-windows.
Other non-root user is able to log in without any problem.

Thanks,
rte

CDE login isn't disabled for root under Solaris, even while graphically login as root is a bad practice.

Perhaps is there someting broken in root's configuration files. Try "mv /.dt /.dt.broken".

Moving .dt doesn't work here..

Forgot to mention this server is a Solaris Zone.(not the global zone)
and a test box so root login through CDE isn't a problem here

Okay, that was worth mentioning.

Whatever the method, remote root login is forbidden by default under Solaris.

See the "CONSOLE=/dev/console" comments in /etc/default/login.
