PLOGI failed state=Packet Transport error

Someone who can help me. the following error occur, what does it mean, and any possible solution you can give.thanks

you have to give more information... what server, what kind of storage, san switch?
with only log files we are not able to help you...


possilbe reasons for the error:
- fc-cable is defect
- switch port is disabled
- lun security
- ....

.. so I got unexpected log from terminal yesterday .. it has gone for a short time but then continue to work fine.

As you see driver and Fcode of FC card is downrev ed .. so I'll try to upgrade it and will return with results ..

maybe one of the gbics has degraded power... and you have to change them. all in all it looks lieke a hardware error.

lets have a look at the output of some commands.

- fcinfo hba-port
- iostat -eE
- luxadm -e port

did you test the physical cable? basically get a loop back and hook it up. check the san switch (or san device) and see if you link up.
