SNMP subagent deleted from agent table

I have a subagent that registers to snmpd on Solaris 8. One of the queries this subagent handles can take an exceptionally long time (it can be on the order of ~30 seconds).

When this query is sent to the processor via SNMP, the subagent is being dropped from the agent table because of the long response time. This is the message in /var/adm/messages:

Agent not responding: subagent_name -- deleted from the agent table.

Can I configure the time that snmpd will wait before dropping the subagent from the agent table? Where can I find the item?

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

doing 'man snmpdx' might help. There are lots of the config files under /etc/snmp/conf directory with lots of the 'timeout' entries - I'm not quite sure which one is which.

This is just a hint - I have not done much with the master/slave agent config myself.
