PC memory on sunfire v100

i have a sunfire v100 machine with 256mb memory. Can i install a PC memory on sunfire v100? someone on irc told me that this is possible, by toggling jp7 which enables/disables pc133u/pc133. can someone please explain if this is true?

thanks

http://www.sun.com/products-n-soluti...16-2756-10.pdf

Code:
X7090A 370-4289 128MB REG/BUFF DIMM
X7091A 370-4237 256 MB SDRAM DIMM
X7092A 370-4281 512MB SDRAM DIMM
Seems that only the 128MB modules are Registered/Buffered.

Hey,

you need ECC-RAM, the standard pc-ram will not work.
The handbook says:
256/512/1024 MB, 3.3 Volt, PC133 ECC-SDRAM.

Bye
