setdate 4900 system controller live

hi,

anyone know, if i can change the hardwaretime of a sun fire system controller issuing "setdate" while solaris is running?
i've got 2 4900 running with SAP/Oracle SunCluster.... yesterday we had an issue with the database because one of the nodes had a time difference time. found that message "time error -7183.990706 is way too large (set clock manually)". so i searched for a possible reason why the node didn't use the external ntp or why he set his time incorrect. the only thing i could find was a wrong time on the system controller. will it work to set the time "live"? thinking about the mostek M48T59 TOD chip, and Solaris which uses a kernel module called todmostek to talk to it appropriately.

thanks in advance
pressy
