Unhappy installation of Solaris: installation bypasses network config.

hello solaris friends,

I've tried installing Sun Solaris 10.0, but everytime it seems to bypass the network config. screen that looks similar to this...here's the url:

http://www.hup.hu/old/images/hup/Sol...l10beta7/9.png

I'm able to install it all the way through but I get no network connectivity. I've installed SuSE on this computer before without any problems with the net config.

Any thoughts?

-thanks,

More likely that not your network card is not supported. Check the hardware compatibility list. If solaris does not detect a supported network card, it will assume no network connection and install without network configuration.

Is there still a way to connect Solaris10 to the internet...

How would i go about connecting to the internet after it has been installed?

I have a D-Link DFE-530TX+ which is on the Sun HCL list, but it still doesn't get recognized. I also want to know if I can get Solaris to recognize it after installation.

how do i do it by avoiding the command-line? er, any solution would do.

thanks,
